Very nice fair warm hot day. Arose 6 A.M. To work from 7:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Family out to meet me at Warehouse and thence to Mariaville to Love's home to see Uncle Charlie who is fairly comfortable. Ate supper by Lake. Made toilet by Lake. Fine ride. Candled eggs. To bed 11:30 P.X.

Not sure what "made toilet" meant back then--perhaps to get cleaned up? That would make sense, since he didn't have a chance to get cleaned up after his day of work.
