Beautiful mild nasty day. Arose 7:30 A.M. Stayed with Mr. & Mrs. Thompson and son Edward 838 Ostrom Ave. Maid Mrs. Webster. Morning and afternoon sessions. Good speeches by Dr. Hawes and Sherwood Etty and others. To BB game at nite Union 11-Syracuse 19. Down town. To bed 12:15 P.M.

How could a day be both beautiful and nasty? Interesting contradiction in terms.

Aha! Now we know who lived at 838 Ostrom. Turns out they are Mark A. Thompson, his wife Edith and their son Edward, who was about 10 years old in 1920. Mark was a coal salesman.
