Cold quiet winter's day. Arose 8 A.M. To College 9:12:15 M. Uncle Charlie here to dinner. Studied read etc. Our for walk with Nellie in P.M. Down town. To dentists etc. Home 6 P.M. To Church. Chewed rag with John Roberts. Home in evening. Chewed studied etc. [sic] Talked with Finch on phone. To bed 9 P.M.

I wonder why Stanford is spending so much time at the dentist's? Couldn't find out who John Roberts was; not knowing his approximate age is a handicap.
