Cold, windy, damp day. Some rain in P.M. Arose 8:15 A.M. Mother, Nellie, Father and I to Burnt Hills Baptist Church. Called on Uncle John. Dinner. Took nap in P.M. Called on neighbors. Telephone to Russ and Merlin. Supper. Wrote in diary. Wrote letter to Stella etc. Lonesome. To bed 10:30 P.M.

No fireworks? I wonder if it was because of the weather. Well, there will be some tomorrow, as I see looking ahead.

This is the first mention of loneliness I've seen in the diary. Interesting . . . All his girlfriends must be out of town.
